About: This Pinot Noir comes from both the Las Brisas Vineyard and Mahoney Ranch, and is a blend of many distinct clones. The wine exhibits balance and restraint, highlighting the red fruit, spice, and subtle oak that typify a classic Carneros Pinot Noir. All of our estate vineyards are farmed responsibly – certified sustainable, and fish-friendly.
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby color, aromas of red berries (cherry, strawberry and cranberry), with underlying notes of tea, herbs and forest floor, and subtle oak providing support without overt toastiness. Palate is elegant, with a clean finish and enough acidity to pair nicely with rich meals.
Winemaking: 2022 was notable for an unusually intense heat wave around September 5th, which elevated sugars and reduced acidity, and these grapes were picked at 26.5 brix. This blend is 100% Las Brisas Vineyard and made up of around Swan, Carneros Creek Selection, UCD18, Dijon 667/777 clones.
