On the palate, the wine has lovely
textured flavors of apricot and stone fruit with an intriguing mineral note that sets it apart from
most other white wines., with a crisp acidity and a balanced, generous finish.
Bing cherry and Sequoia strawberry fruit characters with a hint of peppercorn.
The cherry-head barrel seemed to concentrate these aromas and give the
wine a deeper burgundy hue, mouth watering fruit flavors, and a more
opulent texture and finish compared to traditional 100% oak barrels.
Our cool climate allows us to achieve a ripe and opulent style of Chardonnay that retains ample acidity. Soft, toasty notes from sur-lie aging enhance aromas of citrus and pineapple. We limit the influence of new oak to showcase the effects of soil and climate.
