Our Estate Vineyards | Scarlett Vineyard
Our Scarlett Vineyard sits at the base of the western-most hills in the Suisun Valley American Viticultural Area. This scenic, tranquil AVA is located in northwestern Solano County, just to the east of Napa County. This intimate, homey wine growing region is filled with many small, friendly, family-owned vineyards/wineries that remind many of Napa Valley in the 1970's. This up and coming appellation is getting more and more recognition as a wonderful Napa/Sonoma alternative.
The deep-soiled and flat Scarlett Vineyard receives ample sunshine throughout the growing season. The hills to the west of the vineyard act as a buffer agianst a majority of the cooling marine fog that blankets the Carneros region - the home to our other vineyards. Resulting temperatures in the area climb high enough to fully support varietals that require plenty of summertime sun, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah (the only two varietals we've planted at Scarlett Vineyard.
